Port St. Lucie, FL (December 2022) – Inspiring Warriors Golf was in action again with our second and MUCH improved week of inspiration..

Hosted by the PGA Golf Club in the PGA of America’s home course in Port St. Lucie. Director of Golf Holly Taylor and her incredible staff rolled out the red carpet to our wounded, and it was sensational. Trump International in West Palm Beach once again hosted us and John Nieporte and his team treated us to a day none will ever forget.

Our instructors were on target all week with our golf instruction. Headed by PGA Professionals Russ Holden, Bob Ford, Rob Schall, Mark Guttenberg, and Jack Shoenfelt gave us a world class view at top instruction all week.  We also had great assistance from Board Members Bill Conwell and Kevin Pallone. Once again, it was a week of inspiration and motivation.

The guest speakers were simply sensational! We crafted the speakers to be pertinent to the time of the week starting out with GolfForever presented by Nicole Hage of the LPGA. Brandon Canisi showed us how to overcome adversity playing golf at a spectacularly being born with no hands!!!

Randy Peitsch came from the PGA TOUR Superstore and added a different glimpse into the world of golf from a retail perspective. But, the common bond always went back to golf and all the reasons we play and why the veterans should be playing.

Kevin Weaver highlighted our dinner together with a great presentation on The Warrior’s Journey. The work they do is so vital to the life of a veteran post service. It was so incredibly wonderful to hear this organization while in the company of these brave wounded veterans.

Jonathan Gerard gave the most inspiring presentation during one of our morning sessions. He has overcome so much in his life and it was breath taking to hear a warrior – speak to warriors. Being with your battle buddies with golf is what this is all about and Jonathan epitomized this aspect.

Alex Trujillo came from Flightscope and spoke about his company’s great products and gave those of us who are golf geeks some great conversation of all the how’s and why’s of why the ball does what it does. Interesting is Alex served in the US Army, and was injured during his service. Again, a warrior speaking to a warrior.

Dan Boever did his magical show and we still to this day joke about some of his comments made during his show. He is a staple of our program and is associated with The Warrior’s Journey and without a doubt shares our “world view.”

Once again President Trump welcomed our veterans with open arms. He personally came back and spent time with everyone and posed for photos. He also, signed 23 photos post our event which was a very special gift and life memento for everyone who participated.

Dennis Walters gave the most inspiring show in all of golf and reminded ALL in attendance that is your dream does not work out, the answer is simple…GET A NEW DREAM!

We closed out our week at one of the best places to eat in South Florida – Evo Italian. Kid Rock was there and joined us for a few minutes to say “thanks” like the rock star that he is. A couple of the guys was fans to say the least and it made for a huge life memory.

No one better to be our last speaker than the iconic golf professional Bob Ford. Bob was the Director of Golf at both Oakmont and Seminole for his entire career and is revered in the world of golf. There are none classier in the world of golf!

Golf. The places you go, the people you meet, the lessons you learn.
